Old Trees...
the old tree
quietly dies...
deep in the woods
by the rivers edge....
her children
surround her..
decorating her limbs
with moss and vines...

Time Out for a poem..
It was early September
a warm sunny day..
my five year old grandson
was busy at play..
when the back door burst open
and he came running in..
Saying "Grandma, oh, Grandma
the butterflies back again..."
Armed with my camera
and him with one too..
we both went chasing
butterlies ( there was 2)..
we laughed as we ran
all over the place...
Sticking our cameras
in their butterfly face...
with a smile on his lips
he sat on the ground..
said " Grandma I love
watching them dance around"...
I sat there a long time
as he danced with them too...
then he reached up & caught it
said "he's my gift to you"...
with his tiny hand reaching
to hand it to me..
i told him i'd rather
he set my present free.
He opened his fingers
& it seemed like a race....
as he and that butterfly
danced all over the place..

Summer Is Fading....
Summer is Fading...
July is leaving us
Once more August
in all his passion
will come in Hot
and seem
to beome one
with September..
It's not Autumn..
it's not spring or winter
it isn't summer...
August ad September
they seem to be
twins of sort..
But August bids
summer goodby
and september
will end
with her helping
Autumn dress
Nature for
Octobers promice
of winter come...
July is leaving us

Fairfield country pictures
It isn't much fun trick or treating in the rain....But today, is a "rain day" and it's trick or treat in several ohio towns...I got some shots through the window...nothing exciting today.....
Buckeye lake back roads...
It's halloween and raining....it's funny how a cold rin can cill me to the bones...can't warm up till I get a real hot bath...but a summer rain...now that I'm gonna miss . Todays sunrise started the day out nice though......

Autumn Shots
Remember to click on the pic's to make tem larger....I wish it could stay autumn forever but winter is whipsering....In some ways it's okay with me..I don't like the cold and heat bills of winter but i do LOVE naked trees...and fresh snow pic's.....

The Sun refused to come out all day and i didn't get too many pictures...Soon winter will be raging in Ohio.....I hope the horses still come out in the snow??

Mushrooms...Autumn Style....
AUTUMN .......Don't ya just love it??????
Ain't Mushrooms cool??? I love them...........I have no idea what Autumn mushroms are good for, ( even animals and brids don't eat them)....
